Story Synopsis
At twenty years of age, Lydia had been married early but happily. She had entered a privileged social class and enjoyed the opportunity of higher education, all through the blessings of a chance encounter.
However the joys of family proved fickle compared to the fate of states. After a mysterious horde from the east invaded her home country, Lydia’s entire life came crashing down.
The Eastling scourge brought forth a holocaust of destruction, leaving cities in smoldering ruins and bloodied corpses far as the eye can see. The brutality of war consumed noble bloodlines and peasant communities alike, as a string of battlefield defeats saw generations of men reduced to fields of white bones.
For the first time in Polisian history, necessity pressed the military to conscript women. Lydia unexpectedly found herself near the center of attention, where she met the Protectress of Samara once again. A divine gift offered hope for her entire country: one of the greatest military masterminds that time had ever seen, brought in from the distant realm of Earth.
However, no man could change history on his own. He would have to cooperate with Lydia, plus an inexperienced female officer corps that he openly mocked. Victory or annihilation hung in the balance. But one fact stood for certain:
