Nevertheless, the Imperium held the Kingdom, and by extension, its overlord, the Empire of Rhin-Lotharingie, as responsible for the terror attacks. And on that night, Imperator Augustus Skantarios issued a formal declaration of war against the Empire, which Pope Vigilius, in a show of obedience to his caesar, promptly sanctified as the 4th Trinitian Crusade.
